Salla, Zid or a custom store?

Salla or Zid

Choose it whenYou want to launch quickly with a standard catalogue. Arabic, local payments and shipping come built in.

The trade-offA monthly subscription, and the design and features stay within what the platform allows.

WooCommerce

Choose it whenYou want your own design, full control of the store and its data, and no platform commission on each sale.

The trade-offYou host it and keep it updated, so someone has to own it after launch.

A custom build

Choose it whenYou need B2B ordering, a marketplace, a buying flow no platform offers, or a deep link to your ERP.

The trade-offThe highest build cost, so it has to earn its keep against the two options above.

Most brands should start on a platform and move when it starts to cost them sales. We will tell you which of the three fits before quoting anything.

What e-commerce development for Saudi brands has to cover

A checkout Saudi shoppers trust

Mada first, then Apple Pay and cards, and often STC Pay, Tabby or Tamara. The gateway is chosen before design, because it shapes the whole checkout.

Arabic that sells, in both directions

Product pages, filters and checkout laid out for each language, right to left for Arabic. Bobana's store was Arabic first; Infinity Clinic Pharma sold in both languages.

Invoices ZATCA accepts

A VAT-registered store needs a compliant e-invoice for every sale. We build ZATCA-ready ERP systems, so the store and its invoices can run as one flow.

Stock and orders in one place

Orders, stock and customers can flow between the store and your ERP or accounting system, so nobody types them twice. It is planned before the build, not bolted on after.

Two stores we built

Company websites

Both are for Egyptian beauty brands and both run on WooCommerce. They show the catalogue, the two languages and the checkout; the payment and invoicing setup for a Saudi store is planned with you.

E-commerce development for Saudi brands, on the Saudi week

The studio works with clients across the Kingdom remotely: video calls in Arabic or English, Sunday – Thursday, 9:00 – 18:00 Saudi time, proposals and prices in SAR, and one accountable lead from the first reply to the launch.

What a store from us comes with

  • Arabic and English storefronts, each laid out in its own direction
  • A checkout planned around your payment gateway
  • Product, category and filter pages built to be found on Google
  • Redirects from your old store's URLs
  • Training, so your team can add products and run orders

FAQ

Questions about e-commerce development for Saudi brands

How much does an ecommerce website cost in Saudi Arabia?

A Salla or Zid store costs a monthly subscription and little to set up. A WooCommerce or custom store is quoted as a fixed price in Saudi riyals after a short call, and depends on the size of the catalogue, the languages and the payment, shipping and invoicing systems it has to connect to.

Should we use Salla or Zid, or build a custom online store?

Salla and Zid are Saudi store platforms with Arabic, local payments and shipping built in, and for many brands starting out they are the right answer: quick to launch and cheap to run. A custom store makes sense when you need a design, a buying flow or an integration the platform cannot do, or want to own the code and the data. We tell you which one fits before quoting anything.

WooCommerce or Shopify for a Saudi online store?

Our stores so far run on WooCommerce, which you host and fully own, with no platform commission on each sale. Shopify is hosted for you and quick to start, for a monthly plan and less freedom to change how checkout works. Both work in Arabic; the choice depends on who will run the store day to day.

Which payment gateways do online stores in Saudi Arabia need?

Mada first, the national debit network, then Apple Pay and credit cards. Many Saudi shoppers also expect STC Pay and buy-now-pay-later options such as Tabby or Tamara. The gateway is chosen with you before design, because it shapes the checkout.

Can you design an online store in Arabic and English?

Yes. Infinity Clinic Pharma sold its multi-brand catalogue in both languages, and the Bobana store was Arabic first, with English as the second language rather than the original. Product pages, filters and checkout are laid out for each language, right to left for Arabic.

Do online stores need ZATCA e-invoicing?

If you are registered for VAT, yes: every sale needs an e-invoice that meets ZATCA's rules, and businesses brought into the integration phase must also send their invoices to ZATCA. On a custom or WooCommerce store that is an invoicing plugin or a link to your ERP. We build ZATCA-ready ERP systems, so the store and its invoices can run as one flow.

How long does it take to build an online store?

The schedule is set in the proposal, with a date for each stage. The biggest variable is product data: photos, descriptions and prices ready in both languages launch a store far sooner than a catalogue written during the build.

Can we migrate our online store without losing Google rankings?

Yes, if every product and category URL is mapped before launch. We list the pages Google knows on your current store and redirect each one to its new equivalent, so their rankings and links carry over.

Can the online store connect to our ERP or accounting system?

Yes, and it is planned before the build: orders, stock and customers flow between the store and your ERP or accounting system, so nobody types them twice. Custom ERP is one of our main practices, as the DTC construction ERP shows.

Have you built an ecommerce website for a beauty or cosmetics brand?

Both stores on our work page are beauty brands: Infinity Clinic Pharma, an Egyptian house selling a multi-brand cosmetics and supplements catalogue, and Bobana, an Egyptian haircare and skincare brand. Each was built on WooCommerce.
